It was more than a decade in the making.
When I was writing The Smart Kid from 2012-2015, there wasn’t a plan for the story to become a five-book series. I just was inspired to write a story about a young man with a specail ability. And just before I published it, I asked myself the question: “How did Michael Shale get this special gift?
The answer to that question created the entire backstory that has become The Chrysalis Chronology, Incorporated series.
So chapter 36 was added to the novel. That chapter is where Senator Perkins meets with a mysterious shadowy figure that hints at their global aspirations.
A common motif in all the novels is that there’s always a badder guy behind the bad guy.
Each novel is great! Each one represents a separate story about a main character that readers will fall in love with.
But all five novels together weave an intricate and deep back-story about the baddest of the bad who are really running the whole show for everything that is happening in this world. The whole story is better than the sum of its parts.
